What I was thinking when I went to Tom and Daisy's House
I have loved Daisy for so long and since that day I invited her over for tea, I have known that she
loves me too as she did before I left. Daisy has always embodied everything I have ever desired.
Growing up poor made me want so badly to succeed later in life. I had a self improvement schedule
and worked towards my goal daily. While stationed in Kentucky I met her, Daisy. She was rich and
beautiful and drew in all those around her. Her zealousness has always had the effect. Although I had
never told her I was poor and had a uniform to cover up my lack of wealth, I knew that one day I
would be good enough for her. This day has come. I reinvented myself and am the man I have always
wanted to be. All that is left is her. I need to go to her home so that I can finally complete my story
with Daisy by my side. I will confront Tom, and Daisy will comply. She will choose me over him.
She will let him know that she never loved him, and that I am the one for her. Tom will be outraged,
but also understand ad agree to hand her over. He should no be too mad because after all Daisy was
not the only one having an affair. Too bad he doesn't have Myrtle to go back to due to the fatal
incident. Once Daisy agrees to leave Tom she will come with me to live in my mansion. All along it
has been hers too. Every design was inspired by her taste. I did it all for the moment that she would
walk through my doors and see my accomplishment. I needed to impress her, her opinion of me
meant so much.

Why I had the parties
The real reason as to why I throw Lavish parties has everything to do with my affection for Daisy. I
spend so much time waiting for her to show up that it kills me inside. Most of those who walk
through my door are complete strangers and do not ever even see my face. This is the way i want it to
be. I will remain disconnected until I find her. She is my only source of happiness and I will not
even bother to be happy around others such as my guests until she is by my side. I hope the day will
come when Daisy stumbles through the door to coincidentally find that I am the owner of the
impressive home. In my mind I will know that this was no coincidence, but a premeditated plan that
has been living in my mind for a long period of time. She will see me and be so delighted. We will
pick up where we left off as if no time has ever passed and she will realize I was the one she always
wanted. She will choose me over Tom. All that has to happen is her coming to one of my parties. I
am growing so frustrated. Time after time I wait and wait to see her walking towards my home, but
she never shows. Her absence destroys me mentally and throws me into a depression. I often cannot
come out of this mental state and have become less involved in these extravagant parties. I have
become a myth among my guests. They never even think to question why they are there and whom to
thank, but instead continue on with their superficial and temporary happiness while I wait for my
true happiness to waltz through the door. I am growing tired of waiting, but still have faith. I will wait
for her even though she didn't wait for me.

What I felt when I became Jay Gatsby
It was a very stormy day and I was paddling out on Lake Superior. Dan Cody's Yacht loomed in the
distance. It was the most extravagant vessel I had ever seen. I tied up frantically in order to warn his
crew of the ominous storm on the way. I was awestruck as I stepped aboard the boat. It was nothing
like the clamming boats I had been working on all summer. Everything was so lavish and well
decorated. I recall staring at the plush pillows with shining Gold tassels and thinking to myself that
one day I would have a bed full of them. I told Dan my name was Jay Gatsby. It flowed off of my
tongue nicely and stuck with me ever since just as the lifestyle I had stumbled upon did too. This is
when i reinvented myself. I became who I wanted to be so simply. From then on, I lived my lie until
it became truth. I did not know this moment would impact my life so heavily. I spent my time
Traveling with Cody to the Barbary Coast and west Indies, this is when I fell in love with wealth and
luxury. I knew I could never go back to the simple lifestyle I had once been a part of. the only burden
I faced was Dan's drinking problems. I learned a lot from that man including never to abuse alcohol.
I often took care of him when he would go crazy with drinking binges. His death was devastating,
but he left me with a new view of the world and myself. Also he left me with 25,000 dollars only to
be confiscated by his awful mistress. his memory has stuck with me ever since and I attribute him
with introducing me to the beautiful life I live.

What I felt when I confronted nick about tea with daisy
It was nightfall and I was walking across my lawn. I could feel the cool dew as it soaked up through
my shoes. The house lights were lit brightly behind me and I approached nick looking like a
silhouette. Nick seemed surprised as I approached and even confused. Despite his alarm I continued
towards him because I knew I needed to talk with him about my plan to see Daisy. It was all I could
think about ever since I discovered he had relations to her. It was as if fate had put him there in that
house next to mine so that I could find my way to Daisy. I started the conversation with Nick and was
very nervous, fearing he would not oblige. I told him of y plan for having her over for tea. Nick
agreed ad I was so overjoyed i felt like a little child. I immediately began preparing and ordered for
his grass to be cut. I was so grateful I wanted to repay him in any way possible. the first thing I
thought of was to invite him on a business venture. he seemed hesitant to accept my offer which
baffled me. The next day I was awoken by subtle rain. I became terribly nervous for the time I have
been waiting for my entire life was finally approaching. The meeting started off terribly and I was so
terribly nervous I knocked over a clock. As time went on things began to feel more natural and it was
as if no time had passed. I was in love with Daisy more then ever and seeing her confirmed this.

What I was feeling the day I left Daisy
The day I left Daisy was the hardest day of my life. We both knew that I had to leave for the war, but
feared the outcome. I felt as if we were already married and knew she would wait for me. Despite
her promise to wait, I of course had my worries. Daisy was young and beautiful, any man would be
happy to have her. I loved her for her youth and vitality, and idolized her social position, wealth, and
popularity. In order to even feel somewhat worthy of her I had to lie about who I was entirely. I knew
I cold not truly have her when I was away. As the days went on and the war continued My love
never faded. I wondered if daisy felt the same way or thought about me as I had thought about her
Time continued and the idea of her was becoming more distant and less vivid. I felt that I was losing
her. It was as if we had a connection despite being so far away. I longed to see her. She was the only
woman I ever truly felt close with and her spirit lifted mine. When I finally returned I heard news of
her marriage to Tom Buchanan. I have never felt so much pain in my entire life. It was as if I was
glass shattered into a million pieces that only Daisy could put back together. The thought of her with
another man ignited a fire within me. I never lost hope. I knew she would find her way back to me. I
began dedicating myself to becoming her ideal man for when that time finally came. I dedicated
myself to living my lie. Hopefully this would mean she would never discover I was at one point not
good enough for her. Now I wait for the opportunity to see her again and finally have her as my own.

What I was thinking when I lied to nick
As my car sped along the valley of ashes soon to be entering the city, I told nick my story. The one
that I wanted him and everyone else to believe. I began by telling him about my wealthy family from
the Midwest, San Francisco to be specific. I proceeded by informing him about my grand life
accomplishments such as graduating form oxford, hunting big game, collecting jewels, and being
awarded military metals in the war. All of which were not true. I had really dropped out of school
because I could no longer stand the shame of janitorial duties I order to attend school. I needed to
reinvent myself and making up my ideal life was the only way I knew how. As I spoke to him with
such confidence I began to believe my own lies. The memories of running the streets and local
speakeasies drifted away the more I went into depth. That life was one I lived long ago and is behind
me. I can now focus on the ends to my means and that has always been the beautiful Daisy Buchanan.
Everything was fitting together nicely, that was, up until I saw the skepticism in Nick's eyes. This did
not cause me to panic for I have always been a smooth talker and a very convincing one I might add.
I quickly produced a medal from Montenegro and picture of myself playing cricket at oxford in order
to keep things going. Lying to me has become so natural but is all out of love. I lie to be what I never
was and that is good enough for daisy. She has always had passions for the lavish lifestyle and I have
always had passions for her. I would do anything for her to recognize me and have based my entire
life upon her ideal man.
